Bite Your Fingertips
Chapter 5
Chu Yu didn't go out until school started.
When Uncle Chen drove to Qingchuan Road to pick him up, Chu Yu was almost sober.
He didn't have any memory fragments to begin with, so he only had vague memories.
He took the initiative to pay for the meal and thanked Wei Guanglei and Zhu Zhifei. After hesitating for two seconds, he finally asked them to thank Lu Shi on his behalf.
Wei Guanglei joked that the next time they came over for a meal, they could share a table if they were fated to bump into each other.
Chu Yu agreed, but he thought that he probably wouldn't have the chance to do so.
He wasn't stupid. He could feel that Lu Shi really didn't like him very much.
It was obvious that she didn't like him, so why did he still go forward?
Although Chu Yu's popularity was good, he knew that he wasn't at the level of being loved by everyone. The so-called "good popularity" was partly because of the Chu Family's face, and he still knew it in his heart.
If she didn't like him, then so be it. Anyway, they wouldn't have much contact in the future.
After returning home, Aunt Lan made chicken soup. Chu Yu didn't eat much and vomited in the middle of the night. Aunt Lan was so scared that she hurriedly called the family doctor.
Chu Yu lay on the bed in his bedroom. The feeling of being roasted over a fire came again. His blood vessels throbbed as if they were about to explode. He was very thirsty, but drinking three glasses of water in a row didn't help.
The doctor checked on him and the results showed that everything was normal. He couldn't be any healthier. However, Chu Yu insisted that he had a fever and that his whole body was burning. In the end, the doctor diagnosed him as having an autonomic nervous system disorder and didn't prescribe any medicine.
However, Chu Yu was really weak.
He Zhihao called and asked Chu Yu if he wanted to attend the party. They were all acquaintances, so they took advantage of the time before school started and played all night.
Hearing the ruckus on the other end of the phone, Chu Yu held the phone and slowly rolled around on the bed. She stared at the chandelier on the ceiling and weakly refused, "I'm sick. I'm dismissed from court. Your ruckus is making my ears hurt."
The two families were business partners and had been in the same school and class for several years.
He Zhihao guessed that she had changed to a quiet place. He was a little worried. "Are you really sick?
Have you seen the doctor?
What illness? "
"Autonomic nervous system dysfunction."
"F * ck, that's awesome. This sounds so f * cking serious. Chu Yu, will you be able to get out of bed when school starts?"
"Scram, scram, scram! I love studying so much that I'll crawl to school and hand in my summer homework!"
He Zhihao laughed heartily. "Our Young Master Yu is amazing. When the time comes, I will definitely be there to watch!"
"Let's not talk about this. He Zhihao, let me ask you, did you …"
"What?"
Chu Yu pondered for a moment, but in the end, he didn't ask. "Nothing. Forget it. You have fun. See you when school starts."
Chu Yu put down the phone and licked his dry lips.
The question he didn't ask was, "Have you dreamed of the same person for several nights in a row?"
He had.
He had dreamed of Lu Shi for several nights in a row.
Every time, it was the same winding alley. Lu Shi looked at him, blood flowing from the wound on her left arm.
School started on September 1st, so he had to report to school one day in advance.
Uncle Chen drove him, and Aunt Lan also came with him. The dormitory had been empty for two months, so everything had to be changed.
When the car reached the street outside Jia Ning Private Dormitory, it couldn't move. There was a sea of cars in front and back.
This happened every time school started. In the past, Chu Yu was too lazy to wait. He would open the door and get out of the car to walk to school.
However, the fever for several days exhausted Chu Yu's strength. He leaned his head against the glass window and stared blankly.
Aunt Lan talked to him.
"Young Master and Miss called this morning. When they heard that you weren't up yet, they said not to disturb you and to let you have a good sleep."
"Okay." Chu Yu pursed his lips, blinked his eyes slowly, and asked hesitantly, "Where's my mom?"
Aunt Lan said gently, "Madam didn't call. She's probably too busy, but I'm sure she misses you."
Liar.
Chu Yu knew better than anyone that his mom really didn't miss him.
It was only a street away. The car drove for half an hour before stopping in front of the school gate.
The school gate probably had a new coat of paint during the summer vacation. It shone in the sun.
Chu Yu walked inside in his school uniform. He bypassed the fountain and went all the way to the teaching building.
Rows of tall and lush trees lined the streets. There were many people crowded in front of the bulletin board.
Chu Yu didn't join the crowd. The second year of high school had been disrupted and the classes were rearranged. Early this morning, the Dean sent the information of his new class and floor to his phone in advance.
Jia Ning Private School was not short of money. Although it was within the second ring road, it occupied an astonishingly large area. It didn't lack a library, a soccer field, a basketball court, a tennis court, and a swimming pool. It also extravagantly built a racecourse, a botanical garden, a glass greenhouse, and a series of other facilities that were full of the decadent smell of capitalism.
The teaching building was a magnificent European-style building with a red brick exterior and a pointed roof. It had a strong academic atmosphere.
There were a total of five floors, and there was even an elevator inside.
However, with the limited capacity of the elevator, it was better to queue up than to climb the stairs. Whoever queued up was an idiot.
Chu Yu was that idiot today.
He told himself that he was sick. If he fainted halfway up the stairs, he would be a real idiot.
After waiting for five trips, he took the elevator to the fourth floor.
Second year of high school, Class A, Chu Yu's new class.
When he arrived, the bell had already rung. There were only two or three empty seats in the classroom.
The homeroom teacher stood on the podium. Chu Yu carried an empty schoolbag and weakly called out, "Reporting."
The homeroom teacher was a Mediterranean man. He was slightly plump. In another two years, even a three-finger-wide belt would not be able to cover his protruding belly.
"You're Chu Yu, right?
Come in. I've already arranged your seats in advance. Your seat is at the end of the row by the window. "
Chu Yu politely thanked the teacher. He walked past the podium and went to the last row.
Along the way, many people were looking at him. There were also whispers of discussion in the classroom. Chu Yu did not even have the strength to lift his eyelids. At this moment, he was so weak that he just wanted to sit down quickly.
After he sat down, Chu Yu realized that the seat next to him was empty. His deskmate had arrived even later than him.
Awesome.
The homeroom teacher began to speak on the podium.
He first turned around and wrote three words on the blackboard. The handwriting was beautiful. "Hello, students. My surname is Ye, Ye Zhouqing. It's from the famous saying of Dongpo, 'A boat is light, two oars are startled.' I'm your homeroom teacher. For the next two years, I'll be teaching you Chinese. I'm very happy and honored to be able to spend the most precious and unforgettable time in high school with you!
Our class is the most outstanding class in the entire grade. Every one of the 42 students has passed a comprehensive comprehensive evaluation … The students from the branch are not familiar with the main school. I hope that you can help each other … "
Chu Yu was still having a low fever. As soon as he sat down, he lay on the table and listened to the homeroom teacher's speech.
The boy sitting in front of him was even less focused than him. He was quickly turning a rubik's cube under the table while chatting with his deskmate in a very low voice.
"Oh my god, the school belle is sitting behind me?
Pinch me!
Is this the legendary school belle?
She's really good-looking. She's even prettier than the girl I just met upstairs!
No, shouldn't boys use the word 'pretty'? "
His deskmate answered, "Other boys can't use this adjective, but the school belle can!"
"Yes, yes, yes, that makes sense!"
"But isn't the school belle a flunky? Why is she in Class A?"
The guy who was turning the rubik's cube lowered his voice again. "Didn't you hear what the homeroom teacher said? Everyone has passed a comprehensive comprehensive evaluation.
The school belle's family owns a mine. When other people enter the school, they can only donate a gymnasium and a swimming pool at most. The school belle's family doesn't want to donate, so they directly bought the entire school!
Even the young master of the school can't come to Class A, so how can ordinary people like us come? "
His deskmate took a deep breath and said, "F * ck!"
Chu Yu's head was dizzy. His body felt like it was on fire, and he was extremely irritated.
His whole body, inside and out, and even breathing was difficult. The homeroom teacher's impassioned speech on the podium and the students in front of him were all making him so annoyed that he wanted to lose his temper.
The classroom suddenly fell silent.
The homeroom teacher on the podium did not stop talking. After he finished saying, "I hope that everyone will not waste their time and youth", he was interrupted by a "reporting".
Chu Yu's ears itched. He felt that this voice was a little familiar.
He supported his head with his hands and sat up in front of him. He looked up — F * ck!
His drowsiness disappeared in a second.
Why was Bro Gangster at the classroom door?
He looked carefully and found that Lu Shi was wearing a white shirt and black school pants. His hair was a little messy, and the corner of his lips was broken. At a glance, he could tell that he had experienced a lot and had just come back from a fight. There was still a faint hostility in his eyes.
The student who was turning the rubik's cube in front of him was excited. He suppressed his excitement and said quickly, "What kind of luck is this? God Lu is actually in our class?
No, how can God Lu not be in our class?
F * ck, f * ck, we're in the same classroom. Do you think I can be illuminated by the halo of the God of Studying and advance to the top 20 in the exam? "
His deskmate sighed. "God of Studying and Hunk of the School Belle. Student Lu Shi has worked hard."
Chu Yu thought, Bro Gangster is actually a God of Studying?
But, isn't it three?
He had seen the school bully in his school. If he was in front of Lu Shi, he wouldn't last more than three rounds and would at most live for 20 seconds.
The homeroom teacher had a good temper and asked gently, "This student must be Lu Shi. Why are you late?"
Lu Shi didn't say anything. A tall, thin boy wearing glasses came in from behind him. Chu Yu knew him. It was Zhu Zhifei.
Zhu Zhifei adjusted his glasses. "Teacher, I came to school in a hurry this morning. I was stopped by a group of hooligans near the school. They wanted to rob my pocket money!
Just as I was about to succumb to the threat of evil and lose my pocket money, this student happened to pass by. He saw the injustice and helped his classmate. He beat the hooligans away and saved me from the fire and water! "
"I see!" The homeroom teacher didn't suspect anything and nodded with relief. "Lu Shi is very good. He helped his classmate." He looked at Zhu Zhifei. "This student isn't from our class, right?"
Zhu Zhifei nodded. "I'm from the class next door. Teacher, I'll be leaving first!"
The homeroom teacher looked at Lu Shi. This teenager was thin, tall, and had a straight back. His face was expressionless and cold, but he was good-looking and had an outstanding temperament.
He nodded. "Come in. Remember to go to the infirmary after class.
I've already arranged your seats. You'll sit in the last row by the window. You'll sit at the same table as Chu Yu. "
Lu Shi looked over.
Their gazes met.
Lu Shi didn't have much of a reaction. He looked away indifferently.
"Teacher, I don't want to sit at the same table as him."
"Teacher, can we change seats?"
Chu Yu and Lu Shi spoke at the same time.
The classroom was quiet. The other 40 students in the classroom felt suffocated.
The homeroom teacher was also stunned, but he quickly reacted. "If that's the case, we'll compromise. Student Lu Shi, move your desk behind Student Chu Yu's."
Lu Shi carried a black backpack over one shoulder. He walked from the door to the back row and lifted the desk with ease.
He was tall and thin. His white shirt sleeves were folded casually, revealing his arms. One could see the light blue veins under his cold, fair skin.
At this moment, his head was lowered. The bridge of his nose was high, and the fine strands of hair on his forehead hung down naturally, covering half of his dark eyebrows and long and narrow eyes.
There was no trace of the ruthlessness and sharpness that he had when he was fighting and neatly dislocated someone's chin because of the noise.
Chu Yu looked away and didn't look at him anymore.
