Crazy Ex-Boyfriend

Chapter 18

Hayley was very skeptical. "How is that possible?

Isn't Kinou a hot potato now? "

"He is very popular, but it's not because of Idaho. It's because of Point Blake and Ted.

So you know why so many people rejected him before. "

"Aren't you also unaffected?"

"That's because I have a very good agent."

"So if you want to be an actor, an agent is very important, right?"

"Of course.

Do you want to be an actor? "

"No, I'm just asking.

Someone at a party asked me if I would consider acting in a movie or something. I think he might be a liar. "

Juven smiled. "Maybe not.

The parties you went to shouldn't be the kind where just anyone can get in. "

Talent scouts were also one of the cornerstones of Hollywood. They searched everywhere for beautiful boys and girls. Some of them would become stars of tomorrow, but most of them were unknown.

After dinner, he pulled her to the bedroom.

There were scented candles in the bedroom, and the candles were shining brightly. There was a bouquet of yellow roses on the bedside table, and a flat square box on the pillow.

"Happy birthday, baby bear," he whispered in her ear.

Hayley opened the box. Inside was a platinum necklace with a very cute platinum teddy bear pendant. The teddy bear's eyes were two small diamonds.

Juven took the necklace and put it on for her.

"Do you like it?"

"I like it very much." The necklace wasn't very expensive, but it was very cute and suited her very well.

Juven had also asked her why she didn't like the jewelry he gave her. She said that she wouldn't be able to wear all of Helen's jewelry in the future and didn't need any more.

Which girl didn't like shiny accessories? It was just that she wasn't at the age where she needed jewelry to decorate herself.

Juven felt that what she said made sense.

After a week, it was Thursday, Thanksgiving.

Juven drove to pick up Hayley at a pier in San Francisco and boarded a yacht.

"Whose yacht is it?"

"I don't know. They borrowed it."

"Who?"

"Kinou or Bob." Juven wasn't too sure.

There were not many people on the yacht. Other than the two crew members, there were Kinou, Little Robert Downey, Jim Caviezel, two unfamiliar girls, and the two of them.

"Have you guys eaten?" Little Robert asked.

"Yes, I have," answered Rivan.

"Is this how you celebrate Thanksgiving?" Hayley couldn't understand these Americans.

Kinou laughed. "I'm a Canadian. I don't celebrate Thanksgiving."

"Thanksgiving is too cruel. I don't celebrate Thanksgiving either," Juven quickly said.

Little Robert winked at Hayley. "I'm E.T., and I don't celebrate Thanksgiving either."

Kinou smiled and patted him.

"But Thanksgiving Day gave you a holiday, so we still have to thank this holiday." Keanu raised his glass in a serious manner. "Come, let's celebrate this holiday that allows us to have a holiday!" he shouted.

Little Robert also screamed a few times.

Kinou sighed. "Look, I told them to bring their girlfriends, but Jim came by himself.

Hey, what's wrong with you? "he asked Jim.

"You asked me to suddenly find a girl and bring her on the yacht. I'm afraid I'll get beaten up." Jim smiled shyly.

Little Robert also said, "I forgot to ask you. Is it possible that a cute boy like you can't even find a girl to date?"

Jim blushed a little.

"Alright, stop teasing him." Rui Fan helped him out of the situation.

"This is Susie, and this is Linda." Kinou introduced the two girls to them. Susie and Linda both waved at them.

"It was your birthday last week. This is my birthday present for you. You're an adult now, baby bear." He threw over a small velvet box.

Juven caught it, glared at him, and handed the box to Hayley.

Little Robert also took out a small velvet box from his pocket and handed it to her. "Happy birthday."

Jim was a little embarrassed, but he quickly took out a small box wrapped in wrapping paper. "Happy birthday, Hayley."

Hayley first took Little Robert's gift. "Thank you." Then she said to Jim, "You didn't have to give me a gift." She meant, "We're not close."

Jim was so embarrassed that his face turned red.

Juven glanced at Hayley and then at Jim. He reached out and took Jim's gift. "What did you give her?"

He quickly opened it. Inside was a platinum necklace with an amethyst pendant. The pendant was the length of a knuckle of his little finger. It was rectangular and had a sterling silver base.

He frowned, put the necklace back into the box, and handed it to Hayley.

Little Robert immediately said, "Juven, go get the wine yourself."

There was enough wine. In the fridge, there were boxes of snacks, boxes of sushi, cut fruit and several kinds of salad dressings, cartons of milk, cartons of orange juice, bottles of soda, cans of Sprite and Coke, several different bottles of liqueurs, and a dozen beers.

Juven took two bottles of beer and turned to ask, "Hayley, do you want sushi?"

Hayley followed in. "Juven."

"Yes?" He buried his head in the fridge and rummaged around.

"Do you hate Jim?"

"No.

Why? "

"Then do you like the gift Jim gave me?"

"No."

She snorted. "That's good."

"Let me see what Kinou gave you."

"I forgot which one is Kinou's." She had two small velvet boxes in her hand.

"This."

Juven took the small box in her left hand and opened it. Inside was a single pink round pearl hair clip. It was about the size of a shirt button. It wasn't big, but it wasn't small either.

He pinned the hair clip on for her. The pink pearl in her blonde hair was so princess-like.

Hayley opened the other small box. Inside was a fluffy bunny earring. The eyes of the bunny were two small rubies. It was childish and cute.

How strange, she thought. These men all gave her small jewelry. It wasn't too expensive and they were all very cute.

Juven finished filming in San Francisco and returned to Los Angeles at the end of the month.

After more than a week, the winter vacation in Berkeley began, and he drove to pick her up.

"Where are you going to stay?" He asked her as he stuffed her suitcase into the trunk.

"I don't know yet.

I'm going to see Helen first, then we'll talk. "Hayley sighed.

Helen called her a few days ago and told her that she was no longer staying at the Marmont Manor Hotel. She gave her a new address, but didn't say what she was going to do when she came back.

Juven wanted her to stay at his house, but he didn't ask.

He wasn't living alone, and Hayley wasn't staying for a few days. She would be staying for at least half a month. She would be scared to death if she suddenly had to face her family.

It was already late at night when they returned to Los Angeles.

Hayley gave Juven the address. Juven didn't know the way, so he bought a map of Los Angeles. He drove the wrong way a few times, turned around and ate at a roadside restaurant. It was already past 11 when he found Helen's new house.

The new house wasn't in Beverly Hills, but it wasn't far from Beverly Hills. It was also in Bel Air, a top-notch wealthy area.

Juven got the wrong way because he hadn't been to other places before. He was only familiar with Isaac's house.

The house was bigger, the garden was bigger, and the pool was bigger.

After announcing her name at the gate, the gate opened automatically. Juven drove in through the driveway in surprise and stopped in front of the house.

A maid came out to open the door for her. "Miss Hayley."

Another maid went to the back of the car. Juven opened the trunk and got out to get the suitcase.

Hayley called out to him, "Juven."

He came around the front of the car. She smiled and reached out her hand. He took her hand.

"Come in.

They'll put the suitcase in my room. "She heaved a sigh of relief.

The furnishings in the room were exquisite and gorgeous. The colors were basically pearl white and pearl powder, and the colors were very delicate and soft.

After entering the door, they entered a spacious foyer with curved staircases on both sides. Helen appeared at the top of the stairs in a silk nightgown. "I thought you'd be here earlier."

The maid carried the suitcase upstairs from the other side of the stairs.

"Lucia will take you to your room later.

Juven, you're not allowed to stay. "She turned and walked away.

She didn't ask how she was doing in Berkeley, nor did she ask if she could keep up with her studies.

Juven had long felt that Helen's attitude toward her daughter was no better than a stranger's. This was something he couldn't imagine.

Although Phoenix's family was poor in their early years, their parents still cared for their children very much. It was just that their abilities were limited and they didn't have a high education, so it was difficult for them to make a living. They had to let their children go out to earn money at a very young age.

Hayley seemed to be aware of this situation, so she didn't think much of it. She just smiled at Juven. "You have to go."

"You're really asking me to go?" He was reluctant to leave.

"You can only stay here for a short while."

Lucia was the maid who opened the door for her and took her to her room.

The new bedroom was a little bigger than her previous bedroom in Isaac's house. It had a separate bathroom and a very spacious walk-in cloakroom, which was full of new clothes and dresses. There were silk pajamas and nightgowns, single leather shoes of various styles and materials, long and short leather boots of various styles and materials, all kinds of hats, scarves, and scarves, a multi-drawer cabinet for small decorations, all kinds of semi-gemstone brooches, hats, pins, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and earrings. There were so many things that Juven was stunned by them.

Hayley sighed softly again.

"Helen … It's not that she doesn't love you. It's just that she may not say it." He held her shoulders carefully and comforted her clumsily.

"She's always like this, thinking that everything can be bought with money."

Hayley was quite impatient. "You see, I just turned 18. She didn't even ask me how I celebrated my birthday!"

Juven didn't know what to say.

Juven didn't leave Bellaire's new residence until 12 o 'clock.

The next morning, he came to look for her.

He still drove to the door. The maid opened the door and asked him to sit in the living room for a while.

Another maid asked him what he wanted to drink, coffee or juice, and he asked for coffee.

After a while, the maid came down and replied that Miss had invited him up.

Hayley was brushing her teeth. The eye mask was on her forehead, and her eyes were half-closed. She looked like she couldn't wake up.

"Baby bear." Juven walked in quietly and hugged her.

She was shocked and pushed him. "Let go of me."

She spat out the toothpaste foam and rinsed her mouth.

"You're here too early. I didn't sleep well."

"Then go back to sleep."

"What about you?"

"I'll watch you sleep." He kissed her.

There was still the sweet peach fragrance of the toothpaste in her mouth. She was like a peach, sweet and refreshing.

"Have you had breakfast?" She walked to the bed, picked up the bear necklace on the bedside table, and put it on.

"Not yet."

He followed her over and sat on the bed. The mattress was very soft. It might be a little too soft, but it was very comfortable.

He lay down comfortably and pulled her to lie down as well. "This bed seems to be bigger."

"It seems to be bigger.

You go — forget it, I'll do it. "She wanted to get up, but he pulled her back.

"What do you want me to do?"

"Go and ask Lucia if there's anything to eat. Ask her to make two breakfasts and bring them in."

He hadn't had breakfast in bed since he grew up.

Lucia brought two breakfasts up. Hayley had milk, scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast. Juven had orange juice, fruit cornflakes, egg pudding, and toast.
