Dragon Rider Warplane

Chapter 721

Chapter 721: Red Sleeves in Addition

Lin Mo volunteered to participate in the Abyss Nirvana competition. The country had already obtained what it wanted, so it was unlikely they would continue to squeeze their pilots like laborers. Whether to fight or not was entirely up to individual choice; the points earned or not earned brought no complaints from the superiors, as it was a fortunate opportunity that came for free.

Now, the treasures that Yasha brought back delighted several leaders in the domestic aviation industry, elevating Chinese aviation technology to a new level. Whatever Lin Mo decided to do next would face no interference, even if he wanted to reach the special tier. The military and beneficiaries like National Defense Star would fully support him without reservation.

The resources invested in sponsoring Lin Mo’s participation paled in comparison to the high-end technology brought back that was urgently needed domestically and couldn’t be bought with money.

The upcoming battles would be intermediate and high-tier, offering no pressure for Lin Mo. In fact, his achievements in the Death Team Battle would place invisible psychological pressure on his intermediate and high-tier opponents.

“Morin, I have good news! And bad news! Which do you want to hear first?”

Sally was the only outsider allowed free access to the hangar. The two squad leaders responsible for security were fully aware of her identity and connection to Lin Mo, automatically classifying her as a non-threat. They allowed her to enter the restricted area without any checks.

“Let’s hear the good news first to avoid having no tears left to cry later.”

A smile appeared on Dragon Knight’s face as he looked at the beautiful Afghan girl, who not only possessed stunning looks but also exuded a unique aura of authority, as if she were a queen.

“It’s about the ‘Eagle King’! He’s going back.”

Sally had successfully provided Lin Mo with valuable intelligence during the international pilot death match, taking on advisory duties. As the saying goes, “Know thy self, know thy enemy, and you shall triumph in every battle.” The detailed information about opponents brought by the Dragoon Corporation’s female boss, along with the analysis from the professional intelligence team she hired, often allowed Lin Mo to have a complete battle plan even before taking off.

“That guy should have left a long time ago. It’s lucky he can go back with his life; hmm, does he think he can still battle me on the ground?”

For Lin Mo, the opponent had ended up facing a humiliating defeat, nearly losing his life. With the previous kill of the Dark Hawk, the grudge between the 1st Flight Wing of the United States and Lin Mo was growing deeper.

As Sally listened to Lin Mo, she skillfully snapped her fingers, and her bodyguards pushed a food cart through security checks. Unlike Sally, they weren’t granted the same privileges. Upon opening the cart, they began clearing Lin Mo’s workstation and set out large portions of food, the rich aromas of Persian cuisine filling the entire hangar.

“Enjoy your meal!”

At that moment, Sally acted like a professional maid, busily arranging cutlery and food like every Muslim woman does for her man.

If the outside world knew that the billionaire female boss of the Dragoon Corporation served a foreign unmarried man like a servant, countless eyes would pop in disbelief.

The bodyguards wore expressions of indifference, while Lin Mo comfortably sat down, ready to savor today’s special meal. The Dragon Knight ate more than just four meals a day.

“Now tell me! What’s the bad news? I hope I still have an appetite.”

Lin Mo had no regrets about sparing the Eagle King to save Yuri; he only felt that the Eagle King was lucky to escape without being blasted to pieces along with his fighter jet by the last two Gauss electromagnetic shells.

The various dishes wafted delightful scents, while sounds of people swallowing filled the air. Sally’s culinary skills successfully eroded the resolve of the special forces warriors; it wasn’t their determination that lacked, but rather the current situation didn’t call for stringent vigilance— occasionally relaxing was harmless.

“Alright, alright! Everyone has worked hard; let’s dive in!”

Lin Mo waved to the weary Chinese soldiers, offering a gesture of sharing the spoils. With the Dragoon Corporation’s significant wealth, they naturally didn’t care about a little money.

“Only one serving per person, switch tables, and no waste!”

Yasha and Bai Qi exchanged glances; they always benefitted a little whenever Sally brought Lin Mo his meals.

The food provided domestically was either canned or vacuum-packed. Thankfully, Yasha was skilled enough to prepare a special meal just for Lin Mo. Despite his reluctance to admit it, his cooking still fell short compared to Sally’s.

Due to the ongoing conflict, prices in Damascus were exceptionally high. Yasha could only use pre-packaged ingredients from home. Compared to freshness and variety, the Demon Hunter squad certainly couldn’t compete with the foreign tycoons who went out to shop in armored vehicles armed with machine guns.

The food delivered by Sally contained none of the blood, sweat, and toil from the Chinese people. Yasha directed the soldiers to help themselves liberally, with no psychological burden.

“The bad news might not be too bad for you. The Eagle King is heading back to summon someone more powerful than him. There’s word that it’s from the last special tier; you need to be careful.”

Sally cheerfully served Lin Mo a large bowl of food, piled high like a little mountain, as if the more he ate, the happier she became.

“Once the young ones are dealt with, they’ll call in the older ones. I knew it. Well, once I finish my next match, I’ll head back home. Let them come here to China and see if I don’t leave them with bruises!”

Lin Mo paid no mind to this potential threat. Whether the Eagle King’s summoned people would come for him was irrelevant. He only knew that aside from the more skilled experts ready to confront those seeking trouble, his X-8 “monstrous” prototype was eager and ready to take action.

Once, an F-22 Raptor accidentally entered Fujian territory, and the local air force took action without hesitation. No matter how many came, China would not fear them, ensuring that whoever came would meet their end. Lin Mo felt very confident.

He didn’t mind adding a few shootdown records to his self-built fighter within the border line. Speaking of which, Lin Mo also forgot to add more shootdown stickers to his aircraft.

It had been proven that those were definitely artifacts for building enmity on the battlefield.

“Hmm!”

Sally chuckled softly, covering her mouth; China wasn’t like Afghanistan, where people could be easily bullied, so she felt a bit relieved. It seemed the Eagle King would run in vain.

Lin Mo quickly filled his mouth with food that Sally had prepared for him, devouring it eagerly. Knowing his appetite, Sally always thoughtfully brought him meals enough for a hundred people.

In essence, the Dragon Knight and the Giant Dragon were no different; they were both food lovers, lucky to have fallen into a land of great cuisine.

Lin Mo’s terrifying capacity for digestion was truly shocking, and after the initial few moments of astonishment, everyone had become indifferent to his remarkable appetite. This wasn’t a health issue; everything had been confirmed as normal at the Fifth Aerospace Training Center.

If it weren’t for this appetite, Lin Mo would have likely been a sure candidate for becoming an astronaut by now.

While Lin Mo was enjoying his meal, he suddenly spotted the figure of an old neighbor from the next hangar appearing at the door of his hangar.

“Hey!? Yuri! You awake? Hey, you there, let him in. Don’t worry, it’s absolutely safe. Yuri’s here to join us for a good meal. If you can recover, that’s the best news I’ve heard today!”

Lin Mo called out loudly to greet him.

“No!”

Yuri, who usually loved to come over and share meals, didn’t rush in this time to devour the food. Instead, he approached and shook his head.

“What’s wrong?”

While Lin Mo enjoyed the extra attention from Sally as she served him, he carefully wiped his mouth with a napkin.

“I’m going back! You take care.”

Yuri appeared to be in poor spirits, as if he had just recovered from a serious illness. His face looked pale, as if the Death Team Battle had drained him of much energy, and a week in bed hadn’t fully restored him.

“Alright, head back early to be with your family. Enjoy life more in the future.”

Lin Mo understood that many participants stopped flying after returning from the Abyss Nirvana, living steady lives with their families on the sponsor’s rewards.

“Number 13, if you come to Canberra, feel free to contact me. Here’s my contact information!”

Yuri’s voice sounded slightly weak as he handed Lin Mo a card.

It had his name, address, and phone number written on it. In merely a life-and-death friendship, Yuri even revealed his real information to Lin Mo—this trust couldn’t be measured in money.

“Oh! Alright, if I get the chance, I’ll come find you.” Lin Mo accepted the card, just as he heard Yuri lower his voice and say, “I have to remind you of something before I leave.” He showed no hesitation about Sally’s presence, as if he already knew she was aligned with Lin Mo.

“What is it?” Lin Mo asked in surprise, wondering what other news he might receive today. Yuri’s tone suggested it might be bad news.

Yuri replied solemnly, “I heard you’re set to participate in the next three-aircraft team battle. You need to be careful of ‘Red Coral’ and ‘Gypsy’! They might be planning to shoot from behind. This information is absolutely reliable; it comes from Raccoon and Peregrine.”

“Red Coral” and “Gypsy” were Yuri’s temporary battle companions for Lin Mo’s next advanced-tier battle. The competition sometimes involved such ugly alliances for personal gain, and Lin Mo hadn’t expected to encounter this situation.

If Yuri’s small team teamed up with Lin Mo for the formation battle, there would be no worries; like Yuri, they could reliably shield their comrades from harm without the fear of backstabbing.

Many outsiders assumed Lin Mo would save his points to exchange for items after advancing to the high tier, as there would be more options available. Little did they know, Lin Mo’s points had almost been spent completely.
