Dragon Rider Warplane

Chapter 733

Chapter 733: Explosive Encounters

Jack Roosevelt had great confidence in his team’s abilities, believing that he would soon get the results he wanted.

Viri Chuck and Gagor Brown exchanged glances, filled with unease towards Jack Roosevelt. Viri Chuck felt that his old classmate was no longer the optimistic and sunny football team captain who enjoyed helping others, creating a sudden distance between them.

Society is like a big dyehouse; you enter as white and come out a rainbow of colors.

“Hello, is this Abul Hasan Zargalar’s home? We are employees of Northrop Grumman. We’re sorry to bring you some unfortunate news. Ah, what? You already know…”

“Mr. Morin, you were very irrational just now. You should have sold that stone to that gentleman; it’s just a stone, and this will bring us trouble.”

Saeed looked uneasy. That fierce-looking white man made him feel like he was not someone to mess with.

He also noticed the convoy parked outside the village; there were definitely more people than just these.

Every person in the Middle East knew that Westerners, especially those from America, were used to being overbearing, always wanting to get their hands on anything valuable. If they couldn’t buy it, they would make up any excuse to snatch it away without caring for moral reasons.

Holding human rights in one hand and a machine gun in the other—that image was deeply ingrained in the Middle East.

“Saeed!” Lin Mo suddenly stopped and said, “I know this stone isn’t worth much, but do you understand? If I do this, it would disappoint a child and cast a shadow over their childhood. Do you know what that means? No amount of money can make up for it.”

Lin Mo had every right to say this; his childhood was not shadowed but shrouded in darkness, filled with the most terrible memories.

Only those who have never received would cherish it the most.

“Uh!”

Saeed Muhammad Banisadr was stunned. He found Lin Mo’s words irrefutable, yet there was something about his perspective that made Saeed feel ashamed.

“Allah above, what did I just say? I should go back and recite the Quran ten times.”

Lin Mo glanced at his guide and continued, “Besides, I don’t lack his money. No matter how much he offers, he can’t sway me. Saeed, although I am not a Muslim, I understand that making money, even if it’s a lot, should always be accompanied by integrity. Don’t let the stench of money cloud your vision, so you can’t tell what is beautiful and what is ugly.”

“You are right. I am truly sorry, Mr. Morin. I shouldn’t have said what I did earlier.”

Saeed genuinely felt convinced. He could see that although Lin Mo was wealthy, he showed no trace of the obnoxious airs common among the newly rich. His every word and action displayed solid qualities, just like a true nobleman.

In the Su Lan Empire, the Dragon Knights belonged to the warrior class of the nobility and served as the fastest pathway for commoners to ascend to higher society. Training in noble manners and etiquette was a mandatory subject for every high-tier knight.

No one wanted to see someone representing their country’s high strategic forces as a vulgar and unruly individual, as that would tarnish both the nation and the royal family’s image.

Lin Mo didn’t notice that such a small matter had quietly changed Saeed’s attitude towards him.

For the next three days, Lin Mo fully entrusted the activities to Saeed. The Iranian guide put in extra effort to recommend a detailed travel plan to Lin Mo before they got into the vehicle.

Lin Mo nodded in acceptance and did not refuse.

The black Citroen SUV roared back to life and returned to Isfahan.

“…Allah above! Mr. Morin, look behind us!”

Like a seasoned tour guide, Saeed excitedly began introducing Lin Mo to Isfahan when suddenly his expression changed, and he fell silent.

“I see it!”

Lin Mo didn’t turn around but glanced at the right rearview mirror beside the co-pilot’s seat, his face remaining calm as usual.

A cloud of dust rose behind them as four off-road motorcycles roared loudly, closing in quickly. Each bike carried two riders, charging forward with an intimidating presence, clearly not coming in peace.

Lin Mo showed no surprise; whether or not someone was chasing them was all expected.

Would a Dragon Knight be afraid? Not bullying others was already a blessing. Those guys were like asking for trouble.

“He, they, Mr. Morin!”

Saeed looked at Lin Mo in terror, clearly realizing that the motorcycles behind them had ill intentions.

Allah above, these guys were truly reckless. He could hardly imagine that a group of foreigners dared to act so brazenly on Iranian soil.

“Don’t worry, lose them. If your vehicle gets even a scratch, even if it gets wrecked, I’ll cover it!”

Lin Mo calmly took out a check, unaffected by the shaking of the vehicle, filled in the amount, and waved it in front of Saeed.

Allah above!

Saeed’s eyes widened. His face flushed with excitement.

People die for money, and birds die for food.

His adrenaline surged to the max.

The amount on the check was enough to buy two brand-new Citroen SUVs, no, even better cars.

Noble, Saeed thought vigorously in his mind—this was a true noble.

Calm, wise, trustworthy, and with a compassionate heart, he was a model of morality. However, he still didn’t realize that the person sitting beside him was not just a noble but a true killer.

With an offer like that from his employer, how could he remain indifferent?

Saeed gritted his teeth, slapped the steering wheel, and shouted, “Mr. Morin, just watch me!” He slammed his foot on the gas.

This deal was going all in!

Lin Mo smiled slightly and gently slid the check into the dashboard slot in front of Saeed.

Behind the Citroen SUV, the four off-road motorcycles surged with their long-stroke shock absorbers extending and contracting around shiny steel tubes, absorbing most of the vibrations, while the engine revved up to nearly 10,000 RPM. The distance between the two sides was rapidly closing, and Saeed and Lin Mo could see that they were not coming empty-handed.

“Hold on tight!” Lin Mo suddenly said, knitting his brows involuntarily as he spoke.

“What?!”

Before Saeed had time to respond, a deafening explosion burst in his ears. The whole Citroen seemed to be violently pushed from behind by an enormous force. The vehicle spun uncontrollably, losing balance and was flipped over.

At that moment, a rider on one of the motorcycles raised an RPG and aimed it at the rear of the Citroen, firing a shot that hit the SUV just meters away.

Despite the heavy weight and sturdy build of the vehicle, the explosive power of the rocket bomb flipped the car over, and the rear door was blown off completely.

It was a spectacular and classic explosive encounter, perfect like a textbook example.

The four motorcycles quickly surrounded the overturned Citroen, and a flash of silver light flickered inside the cabin…

“What? White, are your men all foolish? How could they mess up something so simple? What good are you as a group leader?”

Jack Roosevelt fumed, kicking the head of the security team, White, hard in the stomach, sending him sprawling back four or five steps.

White doubled over, holding his stomach, groaning as he struggled to get up, but didn’t dare complain.

Just after finalizing a deal with the village chief and the Imam of Varga Village for Bronny Company to obtain supplies and labor through the village, Jack Roosevelt had barely celebrated when his security team leader reported that the six men and four motorcycles sent out half an hour ago had lost contact with the convoy.

“I’m sorry, boss. I will find them, I promise; but please listen to this first.”

White pulled out a miniature multimedia player, pressed a button, and immediately a voice came out—seeming to be a recording from the Bronny Company’s convoy, which had a built-in communication center.

“We are closing in on them! It’s the Citroen SUV. Yes, that car! Let’s see where they run, Daniel, get the RPG ready.”

“Okay, Jones, I need your help to steady it.”

“Ha ha! Look! A show is about to start! Covers your ears, timid kids, waaaah!”

“Fool, hold onto the handlebars tight, or I will shove them up your ass!”

Amid the roar of the motorcycles, those howling voices seemed to belong to the security team members, like they were playing a game of ‘Eagle Catching Little Chicken.’ Jack Roosevelt’s expression changed constantly, but he remained silent, listening. Cold sweat ran down White’s back as the recording continued.

Suddenly, a massive explosion blared through the recording, causing distortion, followed by the enthusiastic cheering of White’s subordinates.

“Great job! Daniel, you hit him! Oh! Sharpshooter, you nailed his rear!”

“Look, a 360-degree front flip, 120-degree side flip, difficulty rating of 9.9, oh! Awesome, Daniel, you’re the champion!”

“Welcome, new world champion! Let’s clap together! Let’s cheer!”

“Brothers, I’ll treat you tonight! Beer, all you can drink!”

“Oh yeah! Hooray!”

As the recording reached this segment, it seemed like White’s subordinates were doing pretty well; the RPG successfully struck the opposing vehicle.

Jack Roosevelt’s gaze softened towards the security team leader, White, as the recording continued.

“Let’s go check on those two unlucky fellows. Harris, go take a look and grab the stuff.”

“Who has grenades? Hmm, let’s get some gasoline too; this barbecue will be delicious.”

White’s men were about to succeed, preparing to erase the evidence. Just this cold-blooded cruelty that treated human life as nothing was enough to make others gasp.

But at that moment, a sudden turn of events occurred.
