Investigation Report on the Life of Hero Division

Chapter 2

"Okay, are you hungry? What do you want to eat?"

Ōta Aizawa let go of the child in his arms and estimated the time. After a busy day, it was already time for dinner.

"I'm fine with anything. I'm not picky."

Minamoto No Sho thought for a while and didn't know what to eat. Knowing that they were about to go out for dinner, Minamoto No Sho placed the katana in his hand next to his luggage.

"Then, do you have any favorite food?" Ōta Aizawa held Minamoto No Sho's hand and walked out of the house.

"Ramen, preferably pufferbone ramen." Minamoto No Sho said his answer almost without hesitation.

"Then let's have pufferbone ramen tonight." Ōta Aizawa decided on what to eat tonight after he got the answer.

"There's a good restaurant nearby. Although I haven't eaten ramen there before, the owner is quite good. I believe his pufferbone ramen won't disappoint you."

"Okay." Minamoto No Sho nodded happily.

After Minamoto No Sho put on his shoes, the two of them went out.

Ōta Aizawa led Minamoto No Sho through the streets and alleys and stopped in front of a diner.

"We're here." Ōta Aizawa opened the door and walked into the diner. Minamoto No Sho followed closely behind.

The diner's tables were arranged around the kitchen counter. The diner wasn't big, but it was very cozy.

"Yukihira boss, I'd like a pufferbone ramen for this child. I'll get the same for me." Ōta Aizawa greeted Yukihira boss skillfully.

"Okay, who's this child?"

"He's the son I adopted today. His parents sacrificed themselves during a heroic event, so I'll be taking care of him from now on."

Ōta Aizawa carried Minamoto No Sho to a stool and explained, "He prefers to eat Pufferbone Ramen."

"If that's the case, uncle will make you a super delicious Pufferbone Ramen." Yukihira's boss patted Minamoto No Sho's head when he heard Ōta Aizawa's words.

"Thank you, Boss Yukihira," Minamoto No Sho obediently sat on the stool and thought about how Ōta Aizawa addressed his boss.

"You are much more obedient than my brat." The boss of Yukihira was in a good mood. After saying that, he started to get busy.

Yukihira's boss was very fast. It didn't take long for a big bowl of Pufferbone Ramen to be placed in front of Minamoto No Sho.

The white soup made with pork bones for a long time was rich and delicious. The Japanese barbecued pork made with pork belly tasted extremely bad. Coupled with the chewy noodles, half a soft-boiled egg, and some chopped green onions, the whole bowl of noodles exuded an enticing aroma.

Minamoto No Sho's stomach made a grumbling sound. His whole little face was slightly red from embarrassment.

Ōta Aizawa took out a pair of chopsticks from the chopstick holder beside him and handed it to Minamoto No Sho, "Eat."

"Thank you."

Minamoto No Sho took the chopsticks and thanked him softly. He used the chopsticks to pick up the noodles in the bowl and took a bite. Then, he used the spoon to drink a mouthful of soup. The rich soup and the refreshing noodles bloomed on the tip of his tongue.

"Wow, it's so delicious."

The taste on the tip of his tongue took away Minamoto No Sho's uneasiness about the new life he was about to start. "Yukihira's boss, this bowl of ramen is really delicious."

"Thank you for the compliment. Your compliments are the best motivation for me." Yukihira's boss didn't stop moving his hands and said happily.

"Cooking is to bring happiness to others."

"Yes."

Minamoto No Sho nodded heavily with a big smile on his face. Then, he lowered his head and ate the noodles seriously.

"Here, this is yours." Yukihira's boss quickly placed a bowl of Amami in front of Ōta Aizawa.

"Thank you, boss." Ōta Aizawa took out a pair of chopsticks from the chopstick holder beside him and started eating.

After the meal, Ōta Aizawa carried the sleepy Minamoto No Sho in his left hand and carried the thick egg yaki that Yukihira's boss had given him as a friendly gift in his right hand and started walking home.

The next day, the morning sun shone into the bedroom.

Minamoto No Sho opened his eyes in a daze and looked at his surroundings in confusion. "Where is this?"

There was a pair of big slippers beside the bed. He carefully got off the bed that was a little high for him.

After putting on the slippers, Minamoto No Sho opened the door of the room. Ōta Aizawa, who heard the door open, poked his head out of the kitchen.

"Go and wash up. Breakfast will be ready soon.

The bathroom is the small room on your left. The new toiletries I bought for you are already in there. "

Ōta Aizawa carefully reminded him and asked again. "Do you understand?"

"I understand. Thank you, Uncle Ōta."

Seeing a familiar face, Minamoto No Sho breathed a sigh of relief. He turned around and obediently walked into the bathroom according to Ōta Aizawa's instructions. After washing up, he sat down at the dining table.

Ōta Aizawa put a piece of slightly battered toast and a cup of warm denim in front of Minamoto No Sho.

"Just eat something first. It will take a while to get to the mall. Yukihira's shop is not open in the morning. I'll take you to eat something else when we get to the mall." Looking at the unappetizing toast, Ōta Aizawa's expression was a little awkward.

"That's good. Thank you, Uncle Ōta."

'I feel that Uncle Ōta is easier to get along with like this.' Sensing Ōta Aizawa's awkward mood, Minamoto No Sho irresponsibly thought.

"Can I bring Ghost Cut with me to the mall today?

Ghost Cut is the name of my knife. "

Minamoto No Sho bit the toast in his hand and asked Ōta Aizawa with his eyes wide open. Minamoto No Sho's eyes were beautiful cat's eyes. His black pupils had the luster of opals.

Ōta Aizawa looked at Minamoto No Sho's expectant eyes. The words of rejection were on the tip of his tongue.

'Forget it. Take it. I'll be there to watch.' Ōta Aizawa struggled in his heart for a while and then compromised.

"Okay, but you have to stay close to me. Do you understand?"

"Yes, Uncle Ōta."

Hearing the affirmative answer, Minamoto No Sho drank all the milk in the cup in one gulp. Then, he dragged his slippers to the room where the knife was kept and carried the Ghost Cut out.

When Minamoto No Sho first saw the Ghost Cut, it only had the blade and no scabbard. Later, in order to prevent the young Minamoto No Sho from being cut by the sharp blade, a scabbard was specially made for the blade.

Ōta Aizawa took the knife from Minamoto No Sho's hand. The knife in his hand was not light. In fact, it could even be described as heavy.

"This knife doesn't weigh much in my hand." Although Ōta Aizawa did not ask, Minamoto No Sho understood Ōta Aizawa's question.

"My father used to feel that this knife was heavy when he held it."

Ōta Aizawa nodded. He guessed that it might be because of his own personality that Minamoto No Sho did not feel the weight of the knife when he held it.

"Since you're done, let's go."

Knowing that this knife would not burden Minamoto No Sho, Aizawa handed the knife in his hand to Minamoto No Sho and then led Minamoto No Sho out the door.

Because they planned to buy everything they needed in one go, Ōta Aizawa took Minamoto No Sho to a large shopping center with many shops – Muko District Shopping Center. This shopping center was the largest and most comprehensive in the area.

It was Minamoto No Sho's first time in such a crowded place. He followed closely behind Ōta Aizawa and looked around with his eyes wide open.

Ōta Aizawa was holding a list in his hand. It was a list he had specially asked his female colleague who worked at Xiongying.

'A child who has just lost his parents must feel the warmth of a home.'

Ōta Aizawa looked at the list seriously, then folded it and put it in his pocket. He lowered his head and said to Minamoto No Sho, "First, let's settle the furniture you need for your bedroom."

"Okay." Minamoto No Sho nodded quickly, "Uncle Ōta, I'll leave it to you."

"Is this your first time out?"

"Mom and Dad are very busy with work, and I'm too young to go out and play, so this is my first time in a place with so many people."

Ōta Aizawa looked at the child whose eyes were sparkling. He could not control his hand and rubbed Minamoto No Sho's hair.

"Let's go."

The two of them went to a furniture store first and chose a bed and chair that Minamoto No Sho liked and suitable for him. After paying, they left the delivery address and contact information.

Then, they went to a clothing store. Children always grew up quickly, so it was better to buy a few new clothes in case they did not have any clothes to wear when the season changed. Minamoto No Sho did not bring many clothes in his luggage. Ōta Aizawa looked at Minamoto No Sho's luggage before they left. This child probably brought all the things he thought were important, so there were not many clothes.

After buying the clothes, Ōta Aizawa put the things in the storage area, then took Minamoto No Sho to the rest area to eat and rest for a while. Finally, he took Minamoto No Sho to a large supermarket.

"What are the daily necessities you usually use?" Ōta Aizawa asked as he pushed the shopping cart.

"Um … Mom bought these things for me. I don't know what brand they are." Minamoto No Sho thought for a while and realized that he had no memory of these things.

"Okay, then let's go over there and take a look. Let me know if you like any of them. They're all bought for you." Ōta Aizawa identified the direction and led Minamoto No Sho to the shelves of toiletries.

After a round of selection, the two of them basically bought everything they needed. Ōta Aizawa looked at the full shopping cart and looked at Minamoto No Sho, who was panting slightly.

"Are you tired?"

Ōta Aizawa did not wait for Minamoto No Sho to answer. He picked up Minamoto No Sho and put him on a small chair designed for children in the shopping cart.

"Thank you, Uncle Ōta."

Minamoto No Sho was a little embarrassed to be picked up by someone else, but at the same time, he was relieved by Ōta Aizawa's considerate actions.

"Sit tight. Is there anything else you haven't bought? If not, we'll go to the cashier to pay." Ōta Aizawa asked.

Minamoto No Sho shook his head and hugged the Ghost Cut tightly in his arms. He sat in the shopping cart and was pushed by Ōta Aizawa to the cashier.

When they left the shopping center, Ōta Aizawa's hands were full of things.

It was around four o 'clock in the afternoon when they got home. It had been eight hours since they left in the morning.

The furniture they ordered had also been delivered to the door. Aizawa asked the staff to put the furniture in Minamoto No Sho's future bedroom. Then the two of them arranged the daily necessities neatly one by one.

Maybe it was because there was one more person, but when Ōta Aizawa looked at the room again, he felt that the whole room was a lot warmer.

"Let's call it a night. Wash up and go to bed later."

"Uncle Ōta, can you lower your body a little?"

"Hmm?" Hearing this, Ōta Aizawa did not understand and bent down.

"Mwah."

Minamoto No Sho tiptoed and quickly left a kiss on Ōta Aizawa's cheek, then turned and ran into his new room.

Ōta Aizawa touched his cheek and felt that his ears were a little red.
