Miss Interrogator Just Wants to Slack Off

Volume 1 Chapter 731

Chapter 731: The Second Sentence

Lolth and Anno emerged from their "unconscious state."

Isabella, Kanor, Tina, Naivee, and even A Qiu had gathered around the pair.

"Is everything alright? Lolthlinda… are you unharmed?"

Isabella inquired with earnest concern.

"Perfectly fine," Lolth replied, massaging her temples. "Surprisingly, it went smoother than expected…"

"What a relief!"

Isabella let out a sigh of relief.

"Couldn’t you spare some concern for your own mother?"

Anno complained, rapping the table pointedly.

The sharp knocking sound drew Isabella’s flustered gaze toward her mother. "I… I thought since you weren’t directly involved, you’d naturally be fine…" she stammered.

Anno chuckled at her daughter’s nervousness. "So like your father—utterly humorless when teased."

"Truly though," she continued, "not only am I unharmed, I feel remarkably… revitalized."

"Energized enough to return home, in fact—credit where it’s due to that succubus. Ah, pardon me, the ‘Banquet Goddess’ now."

This declaration drew astonished looks from the group.

"You’ve ascended to godhood?" A Qiu scrutinized Lolth with narrowed eyes. "No divine aura whatsoever!"

Though stripped of most supernatural abilities, A Qiu retained her keen perception.

"The ascension method was… unconventional," Lolth explained with a shrug. "I’ve reclaimed divine authority but lack actual divinity. Hardly surprising it’s undetectable."

Naivee interjected with a new concern, idly stroking her chin like a philosopher. "Then why does the main plane tolerate your presence? Even an incomplete deity shouldn’t roam freely in physical form."

Tina’s complexion paled at these words. "Wait—does this mean Lolth must leave the main plane?" Her eyes clouded with barely concealed distress as she gazed at the nascent goddess.

"The master likely doesn’t need to—that’s precisely what Naivee was asking," Kanor interjected, her status as the "Hero" granting acute sensitivity to the main Plane Will. "The Plane Will hasn’t shown any irregularities regarding the master whatsoever."

"That’s because my Divine Kingdom inherently belongs to the main plane, not some detached half-plane," Lolth stated calmly.

In truth, one could say the main plane itself constituted her Divine Kingdom. Though this plane had always existed, its current status as the primary realm remained inextricably linked to Lolth overlaying it with her Divine Kingdom during the Second Era.

Hearing this revelation, Isabella, Tina, and Anno couldn’t conceal their mild astonishment. "Your Divine Kingdom being the main plane… that sounds utterly extraordinary."

Meanwhile, A Qiu, Kanor, and particularly the turtle Naivee appeared thoroughly startled. "What in blazes?!" "Are you pulling my leg, Lolth?" Naivee’s voice jumped three octaves, resembling a feline whose tail had been trampled.

"Not in the slightest." Lolth’s lips curled into a triumphant smile. "I’m way more badass than you imagine, Naivee."

The turtle’s mouth flapped wordlessly, finding no rebuttal. The concept of Lolth’s Divine Kingdom being the main plane surpassed even her wildest speculations. "Fine then…" she eventually conceded. "Speaking of which, shouldn’t I handle our next destination? That second prophetic line about dreamers and the world’s edge practically screams my involvement. Hope I’m not being delusional?"

"Your presumption isn’t unfounded—that’s precisely why you’re here," Lolth affirmed. "We’re setting sail. You’ve reached the world’s edge before and plunged beyond it… I need you to guide me there again."

Her seriousness stemmed not just from the prophecy, but from memories unearthed in Seychelles through Mrs. Anno and the banquet Divine Kingdom. During her Second Era incarnation as Feast Goddess, Lolth had first emerged from the world’s edge. Though her final memories blurred, she clearly recalled returning to that oceanic terminus after purifying the main plane and depositing her fragmented divinity within the residual banquet Divine Kingdom.

"Though two eras have passed," Naivee remarked while shifting to human form, "that damned ocean’s probably unchanged. Navigation routes matter little—reaching that place never really depended on charts anyway. Regardless… Captain Naivee stands ready to serve."

"Then I entrust this to you," Lolth nodded before adding, "But first, I need interrogate several individuals."

"Who?"

"My two mothers, my sister’s mother, and hers." Lolth gestured at Kanor.

A Qiu’s gaze flickered between Anno and Tina before chuckling. "Ha! Seems you’re excluded—only your mom went unmentioned."

Tina remained unperturbed. "Neither Naivee nor you were referenced either."

"My mother’s long dead—I never knew her. Same goes for this turtle’s maternal figure." A Qiu shrugged.

"Watch your mouth, has-been!" Naivee planted hands on hips, newfound confidence radiating. "You’re no demi-god now—I could wipe the floor with you!"

"Pathetic display," Kanor dryly observed, recognizing the turtle’s true motive—not maternal offense, but humiliating the former Sword Saint Seychelles.

Lolth sighed at their bickering before weaving a spatial spell. Empowered by divine authority unrelated to space yet amplified through the main plane’s ancient fusion with her Divine Kingdom, the magic flowed effortlessly. This wasn’t mere teleportation, but permanent pathways carved through reality’s fabric. Four luminous gateways to distant half-planes materialized before them.
