My Master Breaks Through Only at the Last Moment
Chapter 1302
Chapter 1302: Chaotic Saint-Level Giant Beasts
In the Chaotic Mist Area, the Human Palace sailed along the Heavenly Road.
Yuan Lord and several elders of the human race gathered together with excitement.
They extended their divine senses across thousands of light armors, eagerly waiting to encounter a chaotic saint-level giant beast to capture and bring back for Xu Fan to study.
The Great Saint-level experts in the Human Palace were all deeply invested in this endeavor.
Meanwhile, Xu Fan was lounging in his courtyard, lazily working on deciphering the system runic sphere within his spirit space.
After years of effort, Xu Fan felt he had only managed to decode less than one ten-thousandth of the system seal.
Basking in the light of the Holy Light Star fragment projected in the sky, Xu Fan slapped his thigh and muttered, “This damn system seems endless.”
Just then, Xu Fan received an invitation from his good friend Wang Yulun to go fishing at Tianxin Lake.
Tianxin Lake, once the spiritual liquid lake of Hidden Spirit Island, had transformed long ago.
“Well, I’ve got nothing better to do,” Xu Fan said, standing up and stepping out to arrive at the lakeside.
Wang Yulun was already there, fishing, with a maid standing beside him holding a snow-white cat.
“Big Brother Xu, come join me!” Wang Yulun called out with a smile.
Xu Fan walked over, picked up a prepared fishing rod, and started fishing.
He glanced around and noticed many Hidden Spirit Sect Disciples fishing along the shore.
“You seem in high spirits today. Something good happen?” Xu Fan asked, noticing Wang Yulun’s cheerful expression.
“Not just good—it’s incredible news.”
“Qianer is pregnant,” Wang Yulun said, his face glowing with happiness.
“At your cultivation levels, that’s truly rare. Congratulations!” Xu Fan exclaimed, genuinely impressed.
“I can only imagine the look of envy on Weiyun’s face when she hears about it.”
“Big Brother Xu, have you ever thought about having a child?” Wang Yulun asked.
“Of course, but it just hasn’t happened,” Xu Fan replied with a shrug. He knew plenty of secret techniques to help with conception at their level, but something about it felt off to him, so he never pursued it.
“Big Brother Xu, if anyone else said that, I’d believe them. But coming from you? I’m not so sure.”
“Yuan Lord himself said you’ve mastered the myriad paths of chaos. I wouldn’t be surprised if you ended up creating life yourself,” Wang Yulun said, gazing out at the lake.
“You little rascal, now you’re teasing me,” Xu Fan chuckled.
“These things should follow the natural order. Forcing it isn’t always the best idea,” Xu Fan said, shaking his head.
Then, a thought struck Xu Fan.
“What about your confidantes? None of them have gotten pregnant?” Xu Fan transmitted the question privately.
“They’re just confidantes—friends, really. We talk and share our thoughts, but it’s never gone beyond that,” Wang Yulun replied, shaking his head.
“Never gone beyond that…” Xu Fan drawled, his tone playful.
“I know what you’re implying, Big Brother Xu. But no, not a single one,” Wang Yulun said firmly.
At that moment, the beautiful maid standing behind Wang Yulun let a flicker of disappointment show in her eyes.
At that moment, the fishing rod in Wang Yulun’s hand suddenly dipped.
After a brief struggle, he managed to lift it up.
A flat, coin-like purple crystal was pulled up.
“Big Brother Xu, what is this?” Wang Yulun asked curiously.
Xu Fan examined the purple crystal coin in his palm.
The coin was infused with a vast amount of Primordial Purple Qi energy, and within that energy was a faint, almost imperceptible special aura.
If Xu Fan hadn’t inspected it closely, that subtle aura would have gone unnoticed.
“This small purple crystal coin contains the energy equivalent to a ten-zhang (about 33 meters) square of Primordial Purple Qi crystal.”
“It’s likely currency issued by a powerful empire or faction. Keep it; it might come in handy once we’re outside the God Demon Empire’s territory.”
The purple crystal coin flipped through the air and landed neatly in Wang Yulun’s hand.
“Since your sister-in-law is pregnant, I’ll have the kitchen prepare some nourishing celestial dishes for her.”
“I’ll make sure your child is born with a chaotic constitution,” Xu Fan said with a smile.
“Big Brother Xu, you mean after the child is born…” Wang Yulun trailed off.
“I won’t be teaching. With all your confidantes around, there’s nothing they can’t teach the child once they’re born.”
“If there’s really no one suitable, then leave it to me,” Xu Fan said, waving his hand dismissively.
Wang Yulun nodded in agreement.
Just then, the Human Palace came to an abrupt halt.
Xu Fan sensed that the Lord of the Demon Domain and the six human race elders had all left the Human Palace.
“Did they find the chaotic saint-level giant beast so quickly?” Xu Fan mused aloud to Wang Yulun before stepping out of the Human Palace.
Outside, beyond the myriad light armors, he saw a group of top-tier Great Saints surrounding a chaotic saint-level giant beast.
The beast resembled a massive sphere composed of countless snakes.
Each snake represented a chaotic wide road; individually weak, but together they formed something incredibly bizarre.
The attackers were struggling to gain the upper hand.
Suddenly, one of the snakes shot out from the chaotic giant beast, transforming into a giant blade that slashed wildly at Yuan Lord and the others encircling it.
The blade swept through the air, sending one of the human race elders flying.
“That’s a tough one; even the Xuanjin Black Shield from the Xuanhuang Supreme Treasure has been deeply gouged. Be careful!”
The elder’s warning echoed across the battlefield.
The expressions of the attackers grew grim.
“No need to rush; we’ll wear it down slowly. It’s just one giant shield. If it breaks, we’ll replace it.”
As he spoke, the human race elder waved his hand, summoning a chaotic divine fire dragon from the void, which roared toward the chaotic giant beast.
At the same time, another elder in the distance summoned a giant bow of stars and fired an arrow.
The arrow merged with the fire dragon and flew straight into the star gate summoned by Yuan Lord.
In that instant, the chaotic giant beast exploded, transforming into billions of giant snakes before reforming into a single entity through some mysterious connection.
“Lord of the Demon Domain, aren’t you going to act? You’ve been standing there watching for a while,” Yuan Lord called out to the Lord of the Demon Domain nearby.
“No rush. Among these billions of snakes, there’s one that holds the core of the chaotic giant beast. Once we find it, this battle will be over,” the Lord of the Demon Domain replied calmly.
The previous attack seemed to have enraged the chaotic giant beast.
Dozens of snakes shot out from its body, transforming into various weapons and charging at the attackers.
“Xu the Divine Master, do you have a plan?” one of the human race elders turned and asked.
“I’m working on it,” Xu Fan replied, using one hand to sketch a complex grand formation in the air.
