Supporting Actress

Chapter 3

At 5: 20 in the afternoon, the people in the office began to pack up their things.

Shin Hee-moon closed the thick file and rubbed her neck, which was a little stiff after sitting for the whole day.

She had promised to go to Ding Jae-chan's house for dinner yesterday, so she put on some makeup before going out in the morning. After a day, her makeup had faded, so she took out a small mirror from her bag and gently applied lipstick.

Her lips were glowing, and she looked much more energetic than before.

When she came out of the door, she saw Ding Jae-chan waiting on the side of the road on time. He was wearing a camel-colored coat today, and his tall and straight model figure attracted a lot of passersby's attention.

She smiled happily and was about to go up to him when someone behind her suddenly put an arm around her shoulder.

"Prosecutor Shen, where are you going in such a hurry?"

The practical officer Han Yingji and Wen Xiangmei squinted their eyes and couldn't hide the gossip on their faces. "You're still touching up your makeup after work. Are you going to see that handsome guy?

What's going on?

Do you have a boyfriend? "

Shin Hee-moon was stunned and felt a little helpless in front of the two gossipy colleagues. When she was about to answer them with a few words, Ding Jae-chan had already seen her. He walked over and waved at her with a smile. "Xi Wen."

He called her "Xi Wen" so intimately that the two practical officers almost instantly believed that he was Shin Hee-moon's boyfriend. They simply let go of their arms and jokingly pushed her. "Go ahead, we won't delay your date."

Shin Hee-moon didn't have time to explain. Anyway, it would happen sooner or later, so let it be a misunderstanding.

She walked up to Ding Jae-chan and smiled brightly. "Are you really here to pick me up?"

Ding Jae-chan came here by bus. He had no choice. The paperwork for his new car would only be completed next week. Fortunately, it was in the central area, so it was easy to get a taxi.

Before he left, he couldn't help but look back at the building behind him.

It was time to get off work. The staff came out in twos and threes. Every one of them was dressed fashionably and had a relaxed smile on their faces. They exuded a professional aura from head to toe.

In half a month, maybe he would also be one of them. After 29 years of study, he would finally step into society.

For a moment, he didn't know whether he was more emotional or more confused.

Could he adapt well?

What preparations should he make?

He hadn't considered all of these questions yet.

After studying hard for several years, he finally became a prosecutor. This road was boring and difficult. There were several times when he thought that he could not continue, but when he thought of his father's last words and the look in his eyes, he found the courage to continue.

No matter what, he would not disappoint his father.

Due to the rush hour, the supermarket was packed with people. Shin Hee-moon pushed the shopping cart while Ding Jae-chan followed closely behind her.

"It's just the three of us. Two dishes and one soup should be enough, right?" Shin Hee-moon picked up a box of pork leg and turned to ask.

Ding Jae-chan paused for a moment, then nodded. "Well, that should be enough."

He had previously said that he was going to cook, but that was purely boasting to save face. Now, looking at the dazzling array of food on the shelves, he was already dazzled. He could only follow behind Shin Hee-moon in a daze, watching her pick and choose.

"One spicy fried pork, one egg roll … and one soy sauce soup."

Shin Hee-moon didn't really expect him to give any good suggestions, so she lowered her head and chose the ingredients herself. "What should we eat for the main dish?

Let's make it simple. How about rice? "

Ding Jae-chan had a younger brother who loved to do housework more than girls, so he had never worried about food. Every day, when Ding Sheng-yuan came home from school, there would be ready-made hot food. Other than buying snacks, he rarely went to the food section of the supermarket. Fortunately, he was not a picky eater. No matter what Shin Hee-moon said, he just nodded. "Okay, rice it is."

After receiving an affirmative answer, Shin Hee-moon thought of something and asked again, "Do you have kimchi at home?"

There were people jostling to buy things everywhere. She held the shopping cart with one hand, and her back was almost pressed against Ding Zaican.

She was almost a head shorter than him. When she turned her head, her hair rubbed against his chin, and her cheek was pressed against his shoulder.

It was as if she was hugging him.

Realizing this, Ding Jae-chan suddenly felt uncomfortable.

There was no room for him to retreat from the crowd behind him. He stood stiffly, and his ears inevitably turned slightly red. He answered her question absentmindedly, "Kimchi?

I think there is … right … "

Shin Hee-moon didn't seem to notice his abnormality at all. After she got the answer, she moved away from him and went to choose other ingredients.

Ding Jae-chan secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

During the years when he was studying and taking exams, he was like an ascetic monk. Every day, he studied until late at night and rarely went out. He didn't have time to fall in love.

The result of not touching a girl for too long was that even the slightest act of intimacy would make him blush. Although he didn't want to admit it, it had really been too long. He himself had almost forgotten how it felt to hug a girl.

Ding Jae-chan followed Shin Hee-moon from the meat section to the vegetable section. They had a big bag full of vegetables, so they paid the bill and left the supermarket.

The supermarket was only two blocks away from Ding Jae-chan's house, so they just walked there.

It got dark early in winter. The setting sun pulled their shadows long and cast them on the bluestone road. Together with the sound of their footsteps, they were drowned in the gradually darkening sky.

For some reason, they suddenly had the illusion of a stable life.

Ding Jae-chan's house was not big. Perhaps because they were moving, many furnishings had been put away, so it looked a little empty.

"Sheng-yuan is studying at school. He will be back later."

Ding Jae-chan threw the key on the coffee table, bent down to pick up a pair of brand new women's slippers from the shoe rack, and put them in front of Shin Hee-moon. He scratched his head and was a little embarrassed, which was rare for him. "Well, we have to move and pack these two days, so it's a little messy."

He put the ingredients in the kitchen first, and then turned back to pick up the sweater on the sofa. He crumpled it into a ball and threw it into the laundry basket in the bathroom.

Shin Hee-moon put on the slippers and smiled as she watched his movements.

She knew him well. He was handsome in front of others, but sloppy as hell at home. He cared a lot about his face, so he could be more stubborn than anyone else.

He had the shortcomings that all ordinary boys had, but it was precisely because of this that he was cute, because he was real and cute.

After she took off her coat and hung it up, she walked slowly into the kitchen. She saw Ding Jae-chan take out the meat and vegetables. They were full of meat and vegetables, but he stood there blankly, frowning as if he didn't know what to do.

"Forget it. Let me do it."

His kitchen was too small for two people to move freely. She didn't want to argue with him, so she simply pushed him out and gave him a way out. "We seem to have forgotten to buy drinks just now. I'm not familiar with this place. You go downstairs and buy some."

Ding Jae-chan was worried. Hearing this, he was happy and quickly put down his rolled up sleeves. "You're right. If you get lost, I'll have to buy drinks."

As he walked out, he put on an act and said, "I wanted to show you my superb cooking skills. Sigh, it's such a pity."

Shin Hee-moon, "…"
