“I’m not worthy, are you?”

Zhang Wenhao said coldly, “You’re just a useless person. You can’t even keep your own wife. Churan is too wronged to be with you. It would be so much better with me; I can give her anything she wants!”

Ye Chen’s expression turned cold as he lowered his voice and said, “I’ll give you two choices. First, kneel and apologize to Churan in front of everyone, and take back what you said; second, I’ll make your family’s company go bankrupt. You choose.”

“Hahaha, are you kidding me? What are you to make my family’s company go bankrupt?”

Zhang Wenhao laughed wildly, looking down on Ye Chen, clearly not taking his words seriously.

“Are you dreaming, you idiot? What do you have to make my family’s company go bankrupt? Do you know how much my family’s company is worth? You think it can just go bankrupt because you say so?”

Ye Chen remained expressionless, staring at Zhang Wenhao as if he were an idiot for a moment, then took out his phone and dialed Tang Sihai.

“In three minutes, I want to see Zhang Wenhao’s family company go bankrupt and in liquidation, with debts exploding!”

Three minutes to bankrupt a company worth tens of billions was simply a daydream!

Zhang Wenhao’s eyes turned vicious as he stared at Ye Chen and said, “Damn it, you’re just blowing smoke! Do you think you’re some online super-rich guy?”

After saying that, Zhang Wenhao coldly added, “Useless, stop pretending. I’ll give you two choices too. First, kneel and apologize to me, then immediately divorce Churan; second, I’ll find some people to completely ruin you, and you can watch me and Churan be sweet together. You choose! Ye Chen glanced at his phone and said, “You have one minute left. Are you sure you don’t want to reconsider?”

“Get lost! You have thirty seconds to think. If you don’t kneel, I’ll make you regret it for the rest of your life!” Zhang Wenhao said nonchalantly.

“Twenty seconds!”

“Ten seconds!”

“Five seconds!”

“Time’s up. Don’t blame me for being ruthless; you brought this on yourself!” Zhang Wenhao shook his collar and waved to a few bodyguards, ready to deal with this useless person.

But just then, Zhang Wenhao’s phone suddenly rang.

He was taken aback, seeing it was his father calling, and quickly answered.

“Dad, I’m already at the banquet. Have you arrived?”

On the other end of the line, Zhang Wenhao’s father was roaring madly, “You useless piece of trash! Who did you offend? What trouble have you caused? All the shareholders are frantically selling our company’s stock; our stock has already dropped over eighty percent!”

As he spoke, his father shouted, “The bank suddenly came to demand debt repayment! All our partners have suddenly terminated their cooperation and stopped settlements! Our cash flow has been cut off! The only way left is bankruptcy liquidation!”

Hearing the voice on the phone, Zhang Wenhao’s face turned pale instantly, cold sweat dripping from his forehead.

“Our family is finished! Completely finished!”

Zhang Wenhao wanted to ask more, but suddenly heard sirens on the other end of the phone, followed by the sound of a door being broken down and law enforcement officers asking his father to cooperate with the investigation.

He suddenly felt weak all over, and his phone fell to the ground, shattering into pieces.

His legs went soft, and he knelt in front of Ye Chen.

The wind blew, leaving his body and heart icy cold.

The bodyguards, seeing this scene, were all uncertain and no longer approached.

Zhang Wenhao was filled with terror, quietly asking Ye Chen, “Who exactly are you? You did all this, didn’t you?”

The onlookers were equally astonished; Zhang Wenhao received a call and suddenly knelt before the son-in-law of the Xiao family. What was going on?

Ye Chen glanced at him, slightly bent down, and said softly, “I gave you a chance to choose, but you didn’t make the right choice.”

“I know I was wrong. I apologize to you. Please, let me go! Churan has nothing to do with me; I’ve never touched her. The cooperation with the Dihao Group wasn’t arranged by me. Everything I said earlier was made up. I beg you, spare me and my family!”

Zhang Wenhao kept bowing and apologizing. He never dreamed that a son-in-law of the Xiao family would have such power! One phone call, and his family was bankrupt!

When he looked up at Ye Chen’s face, he felt that this plain face was even more terrifying than a demon!

To make his family go bankrupt in just a few minutes, such a person was not someone he could afford to offend!

Ye Chen shook his head and said, “You should be grateful because at least I left you a life! Otherwise, your whole family would have been doomed!”

Upon hearing this, Zhang Wenhao’s face turned pale with fear, and his whole body trembled violently.

Ye Chen looked at him coldly and said, “To tell you the truth, I am that super-rich guy from the internet. If you don’t want to die, it’s best not to talk about my identity recklessly. Otherwise, you and your father won’t make it to tomorrow morning!”

After saying that, Ye Chen patted Zhang Wenhao’s face, ignored him, and walked into the hall.

Zhang Wenhao collapsed completely on the ground, unable to muster any resistance to Ye Chen’s extreme humiliation.

Seeing Ye Chen walk into the hall, Zhang Wenhao crawled in after him.

Looking around, he spotted Xiao Churan and crawled over to her, kneeling at her feet, repeatedly bowing and crying, “Churan, I apologize! I shouldn’t have spread rumors about you. Your project with the Dihao Group has nothing to do with me. Please, spare me!”

Xiao Churan was startled by his actions and quickly stepped back, only to bump into a warm embrace.

When she turned around, she saw it was Ye Chen holding her.

After entering, Ye Chen spotted Xiao Churan, who had dressed up beautifully today, shining like a star among the crowd.

Seeing Zhang Wenhao rush towards Xiao Churan, Ye Chen quickly embraced her to prevent her from falling and shot a fierce glare at Zhang Wenhao.

Zhang Wenhao was so frightened that he immediately lay down and rolled away, afraid of provoking Ye Chen.

Xiao Churan asked in confusion, “What happened to him…”

While holding her, Ye Chen whispered, “He must be sick. Don’t mind him.”

Although they were husband and wife, there was no intimate contact between them. Feeling Ye Chen’s warm embrace, Xiao Churan’s ears turned completely red.
