Dragon Rider Warplane
Chapter 785
Chapter 785: "Alien" Knight
“Stop!”
As Lin Mo walked toward the Parking Area, he suddenly heard a sharp shout from behind.
Who is it? He turned around and saw a female officer standing at the hangar door, looking tense, holding a small camera aimed at him.
“Hey? Lieutenant Li? It’s you!”
Lin Mo smiled, showing his bright white teeth.
Is she pretending to be a reporter or a paparazzi? They all know each other so well; why the enthusiasm? What is going on?
“You, you! Do you have superpowers?”
Li Muling’s eyes widened in disbelief. Witnessing it up close made the scene even more shocking. This shouldn’t be something a human can do, right?
Whether it was the massive fighter jet floating in mid-air or Lin Mo holding it effortlessly, the visual impact induced a sense of dizziness. The human brain struggled to comprehend and explain such an extraordinary sight.
Perhaps one could see this in science fiction or fantasy movies, but what is fantasy remains fantasy, and reality is reality; how could one easily break through that incredibly solid barrier?
It’s truly hard to believe!
“What? Superpowers?”
Lin Mo frowned, looking at the excited member of the Twin Stars, knowing it had to be his sister Li Muling. Her older sister was much calmer than her.
He had never heard of the term “superpower.” What level of ability is that? Isn’t it supposed to be about super mobility or something else?
He turned around, still cradling the variable wings fighter jet, taking a few steps back. The massive body above him resembled an open umbrella, and the sunlight easily cast a clear silhouette of the fighter jet on the ground.
“Don’t, don’t come closer!”
Li Muling felt her hair stand on end. Did this superpower user want to kill her and silence her?
What was she thinking? She had jumped out without thinking!
A person with superpowers could take a life without a weapon, or even with just a glare, could obliterate her petite frame into a shower of blood.
“What’s wrong?”
Lin Mo was puzzled, looking at her wide-eyed expression. He didn’t understand why she was so nervous.
Her eyes were wide open. What is she so afraid of?
Li Muling was genuinely terrified, shivering as she pointed at Lin Mo and exclaimed, “You are an alien, right? You really are an alien!”
Alien…
Lin Mo felt a black line form on his forehead. What nonsense was this crazy girl talking about?
“Have you lost your mind?”
Lin Mo was both amused and exasperated as he looked at the frightened and alert intelligence officer. What happened to her?
One moment it was superpowers, the next it was aliens—why couldn’t he understand her?
“What’s with the madness? Speak honestly, and we can go easy on you. Resist, and it’ll be tough. Just confess, which planet are you from?”
Li Muling was convinced Lin Mo was an alien. No wonder she had always felt he had an unusual mystery about him; there was indeed something off.
What she witnessed confirmed her lingering doubts that had haunted her for so long.
Hard work pays off, and this guy finally revealed his true form.
Catching an alien spy would be a tremendous achievement; there has never been anyone before, nor will there be anyone after. The United Nations might even award him a Military Medal!
Isn’t that right? This guy is using his superpower to hold up a fighter jet, trying to escape!
How could an ordinary person lift a fighter jet like that? They would probably be crushed instantly.
If he could catch this Big Fish, ha ha, he could squeeze out all the high-tech secrets! Wouldn’t that lead to a leap forward for human civilization? Sister, hurry and bring people here; a great accomplishment is right in front of us!
“Which planet am I from? I’m from Earth!”
Lin Mo replied irritably. Was this intelligence personnel girl too dedicated? How could she say he was an alien without any evidence? Was she out of her mind?
Come on, sister, I still need to test the fighter jet. Please wake up quickly!
Clearly, Li Muling did not hit the Dragon Knight’s G-spot as she had imagined.
Li Muling, frustrated by Lin Mo’s boldness, felt her fear dissipate a little. She pointed at him and said, “You still say you’re not an alien? Can a human lift a fighter jet like you?”
The small camera in her hand kept working steadily, unaffected—this foolish alien even forgot to block it!
Lin Mo should have turned pale, cold sweat pouring down, turning to run away or throwing a fit after being exposed. That would be the expected reaction. However, the reality was different from Li Muling’s imagination.
Things seemed to be slipping out of Li Muling’s control.
“Lifting a fighter jet?” Lin Mo looked up in surprise at the “monstrous” variable wings fighter jet floating about a meter high in his palm. Just as he was about to speak, a series of laughter interrupted him.
“Oh! I’m dying of laughter! I just got here, and I’ve already seen an alien, hahahaha!”
A series of melodic giggles came from the hangar door. It was spoken in English, but with the high cultural quality common to the esteemed "Night" special personnel, there was no barrier in communication. Of course, some people still felt lost.
“Who is it?”
Li Muling turned around in surprise and anger, looking behind her.
A little girl with short golden hair pointed and burst into laughter, clearly unable to contain her amusement.
“Who are you?”
Li Muling noticed the girl’s gaze darting towards her, which seemed to mock her. Was this another ally of the aliens?
An alien’s accomplice?
Another little alien infiltrating the base?
With her thoughts spiraling, Li Muling’s analysis began to deviate. Although intelligence personnel could analyze details, they could also miss the mark, and she struggled to discern the reality before her eyes.
“I’m Maisha Wright! Your new colleague!”
The golden-haired little girl wore a soft light gray tracksuit, with the iconic three stripes of the world-renowned Adidas brand stretching from her shoulder down to her ankles. She appeared very energetic.
She was even carrying a wax-dyed shoulder bag with short tassels hanging down, the bulging shape inside suggestive of a large square board.
Where there was no doubt, it was a tool Lin Mo had given to the little girl from the crafting team; this little kid was completely unaware and utterly delighted.
“Little girl!”
Lin Mo’s eyes lit up, and he showed a surprised expression. Indeed, his application had been approved; otherwise, how could this high-tech little girl possibly be here?
The gold giant dragon could finally break free from a labor-intensive role to do more tasks for Lin Mo.
“Boss! I’m ready to work!”
Maisha was indeed a little girl who kept her promises. As for employing child labor, that wasn’t a rule in the military, and civil law didn’t apply either. There were plenty of precedents for teenagers consuming military provisions.
Lin Mo directly ignored the noisy Li Muling and waved at Maisha, saying, “Wait a moment; I’ll finish up here and then assign you some work!”
“Hey, I said, Alien! Quickly report your true identity! Put down that fighter jet; it’s Chinese property, belonging to Earthlings! Did you take out Lin Mo and disguise yourself as him?”
Li Muling stopped paying attention to Maisha and focused her attention back on Lin Mo.
Intelligence personnel truly have limitless thoughts. In an instant, she came up with another possibility, and she didn’t even realize how pale she turned as the words left her mouth.
She scared herself with her own thought, feeling a cold chill running down her back, and suddenly found her shirt drenched in cold sweat.
“‘Dragon Knight’, it must be some kind of force field, right?”
Maisha giggled from behind Li Muling, watching the enormous fighter jet floating in Lin Mo’s hand.
Being a staunch believer in science, she instinctively understood unusual phenomena scientifically, and due to her broader knowledge, she could not think of superpowers like Li Muling.
“Exactly? It’s the Ser effect!”
Lin Mo didn’t pay any mind to Li Muling’s nonsense, his gaze crossed the female intelligence personnel and nodded towards the blonde girl.
“Anti-gravity field?”
The little girl’s eyes lit up as if about to shine, but then they dimmed again. She had experienced the fighter jet firsthand, which nearly cost her life. She wanted to enjoy the anti-gravity field more, but common sense told her that the cost might be her own life.
“Anti-gravity field?”
Li Muling’s expression froze in disbelief.
An anti-gravity field? Not a superpower? And it seemed to have a name: the Ser effect. Although she had never heard of it, it didn’t seem like the alien technology she had imagined.
Then…
The sister of the “Twin Stars” felt as if her worldview was collapsing, just like a primitive person seeing an airplane for the first time.
“Anti-gravity field? Ser effect?”
At that moment, another girl’s voice echoed at the hangar entrance. Although she was surprised to see Lin Mo holding the fighter jet, she quickly regained her composure.
“Oh? Twins?”
Maisha noticed that someone had appeared beside her, resembling the girl soldier not far away. Not only did they look alike, but even their figures, voices, and uniforms were identical, which immediately sparked her surprise and curiosity, making her eyes dart between the two to find a difference.
“‘Twin Stars’, what are you all doing?”
Lin Mo was astonished to see the pair of twins had both arrived, and a displeased look appeared on his face. Today, the sister seemed a bit out of it; he hoped the older sister wouldn’t cause trouble.
“Sorry! Major Lin Mo, we’ve interrupted your work. I’m taking my sister back.”
Li Muxin’s voice was like a gentle spring breeze, soft and pleasant. Although her tone was identical to her sister’s, it was easy to tell the twins apart.
Li Muxin’s words relieved Lin Mo. At least one of the twins was still maintaining her composure.
