The Door is Welded Shut
Chapter 3
Shi-si, who was dragged out by Huang Se, didn't feel anything, but he put on sunglasses and a mask after picking her up.
He had seen Huang Ase drown in girls when he was in junior high school, so he wasn't surprised. Huang Ase, on the other hand, was especially excited. She happily held Huang Ase's hand and walked on the road. Huang Ase was even carrying Huang Ase's school bag with a pink, fluffy octopus hanging on it.
"Xiao Shi Si, how have you been recently?
Did you miss me? "
"No."
"Eh?!
That's too much, I miss you so much! "
Shi-si didn't answer. She just let Huang Se hold her hand and walk. The two of them ate and drank on the commercial street. They didn't have a specific destination. After all, the two of them often went out to look for food in junior high school. They walked along the food street and ate everything.
However, Huang Se knew that she never ate sashimi seafood, including squid and octopus barbecued, but she was especially fond of fish.
Huang Se held her hand along the way and asked a lot of questions back and forth, such as whether she could keep up with her high school classes, whether she had good friends, whether she had a boy she wanted to pursue, and whether she had someone she liked.
Just like that, he blabbered on and on. Some of his questions were so blatant that they went overboard. However, since he was already very familiar with ShiQi's way of thinking during their three years of junior high school, he wasn't worried that ShiQi would think too much.
In fact, Shi-si couldn't tell the difference between these questions at all. Her answer was the same, "No."
After knowing that there was no inexplicable pig eating the cabbage he carefully watered in high school, Huang Se, the vegetable farmer, smiled happily. He looked at the girl in his hand. She was so small and cute, and he thought in his heart that he would pick the cabbage himself in a while.
"Xiao Shi Si, haven't you joined any clubs recently?"
"No."
"Why?"
"Lazy."
Huang Se himself had recently come to Miyagi Prefecture for a shoot, so he specially picked a day to play with Shi-si. He also came with a selfish motive to ask if there were any new developments in the past few months.
But the result was pretty good. Back then, Shang Si was raised astray by them for three years. He didn't like to talk to people, didn't like to meet new people, and didn't like to go to crowded places.
In junior high school, other than the basketball club, he didn't know anyone else. Although Huang Ase knew that this wasn't good, sometimes he felt satisfied when he thought about how ShiSi, who wouldn't say a word even after three hits, would only respond to his questions.
Huang Se was going to continue eating barbecue with Shi-si when he received a call from his agent. Shi-si looked up and ate her potato while watching Huang Se on the phone.
In fact, she wanted to ask him to go back first, but it was obvious that the rule of not knowing the way was applicable at any time.
Therefore, just as Shi-si reached out to grab Huang Se's coat and wanted to say that she wanted to go home, Huang Se lowered his head and rejected her very seriously.
"No, Xiao Shi Si, you're an EX when it comes to directions. If I leave you here alone, you'll definitely be reported missing tomorrow!"
Shi-si was just about to say that she didn't, so don't talk nonsense. But when she thought about some of her past experiences and how she was almost tied up by Akashiji Seijuro, she decided to trouble Huang Se in the end.
In the end, just as they walked to the entrance of the food street, they heard someone call her name from behind. Huang Se obviously heard it too, so the two of them turned around and saw a few teenagers holding volleyball and looking at them. The one who called her name looked very familiar.
"Is he someone Xiao Shi Si knows?"
Huang Se lowered his head slightly to look at Shi-si, who had a face full of food, but Shi-si just shook her head. She couldn't recognize who was who.
In Toru Oikawa's eyes, there was only the girl who was the same age as him, Ryota Hwang Se, who had bent down to wipe the face of the girl who had been reciting to him for several hours.
Toru Oikawa, who was secretly smiling, almost pressed a hole in the volleyball in his hand, but in the end, he still took a step forward and said.
"Classmate Shi is sitting in front of me."
This sentence reminded Shi-si of who it was, so she raised the glasses on the bridge of her nose. She felt that the girl sitting behind her had been appearing quite frequently recently, so she might as well remember it.
As a normal human being, Huang Se naturally knew what to say at this time. After all, it would be very awkward if he couldn't recognize a classmate sitting behind him.
"Hello, I'm Ryota Hwang Se.
Don't mind Xiao Shi Si, she has serious face blindness. "
"Face blindness?"
Toru Oikawa was a little surprised. After all, this condition … he had never seen it before, but he hid this surprise in his heart and first responded to Huang Se's words.
"Hello, I'm Toru Oikawa."
After confirming that Toru Oikawa was someone she knew, Shi-si directly pulled Huang Se's clothes, then stretched out her hands from the wide uniform sleeves, raised her head and looked at the other party's golden eyes.
"There's an acquaintance, you can go do your work first."
Huang Se originally wanted to refuse, but Toru Oikawa, who obviously knew something, spoke first and directly blocked Huang Se's rejection.
"If it's a classmate, I can send her back. If you have something to do, you can go do it first. After all, we're all classmates, it's normal to help."
He inadvertently looked at Shi-si's fingers that were holding the corner of Huang Se's clothes. He felt that this behavior was very eye-catching, but he didn't want to show his emotions. After saying this sentence, coupled with his usual smile, people who didn't know Toru Oikawa would feel that this person was very reliable because of this smile.
In addition, Shi-si really didn't want to bother Huang Se, and the agent was also very anxious.
So Huang Se told Shi-si's address to Toru Oikawa, and looked back three times to say goodbye to Shi-si.
Shi-si, who was led back by Toru Oikawa, looked up and saw a row of volleyball club members. Everyone was very tall and very oppressive. As the only person she knew, after thinking for a long time, she didn't reach out to him to find a sense of security. Instead, she stood behind Toru Oikawa.
The other boys had no resistance to this kind of small girl, especially when the volleyball club didn't have a beautiful manager, so they were especially enthusiastic.
Toranori Oikawa stepped forward to block Shi-si, smiled and joked with his teammates, and then said.
"I just received a request from a classmate, I need to send her home."
"I'm so envious!
You can send a beautiful girl home at night! "
"Don't be ridiculous, who told you to not have the same face as Tetsuya."
Gamma Iwakizumi said a few words and left with the others. After waving goodbye, Toru Oikawa felt his violently beating heart.
Eh?!
This, this is the world of two people?!
Will her classmate eat me up?
What should I say? Although the address was given, it didn't seem close …
While he was thinking about how to communicate with this girl, it was ShiSi who raised his head to look at him. How should he put it? With his height of more than 1.8 meters, looking down at a girl who was only about 1.5 meters tall, this angle was really … very good.
"Hey, classmate Shi-si, are you looking at me like this because you're infatuated with me?"
Tetsuya Oikawa blurted out the words he usually used as a joke, but he regretted it as soon as he said it. After all, according to Gamma Iwakizumi, his words and actions always felt like he was teasing people, but he didn't have any intention of teasing Shi-si.
At least not now.
Shi-si really didn't want to talk, but this classmate Tetsuya was indeed the temporary owner that Huang Se found for her, so she dawdled for a long time before whispering.
"No, I can't recognize faces."
But his voice was too soft for Chuan Che to hear, so he bent down and purposely whispered into ShiSi's ear when no one could see clearly in the dark.
"What are you talking about? I didn't hear you."
Perhaps because he was too close, he saw ShiSi's ears twitch, and the little tentacles hidden behind it seemed to have shrunk back.
After noticing this, Toru Oikawa smiled and narrowed his eyes. Even his tone of voice had a hint of excitement.
He saw ShiSi's muttering and mumbling, so he continued to bend over and wait for ShiSi's response.
Not long after, he saw Shi-si reach out and grab his uniform jacket. She stood on her tiptoes and whispered in his ear.
"I'm face-blind."
The sticky voice traveled into Toru Oikawa's ears. It sounded a little hoarse, as if she hadn't spoken for a long time. To put it simply, it was a critical hit for Toru Oikawa.
He couldn't help but raise his hand to cover his face. He then looked at Shi-si, who was still waiting for him with an innocent face. After thinking for a long time, he didn't reach out to pinch her ear. Instead, he led her to their destination.
Shi-si was telling the truth. It was better to let people recognize octopuses than to let her recognize people. Although she was always ridiculed for this, she also wanted to point to squid or other marine animals in the sea and let people recognize them one by one.
However, Toru Oikawa didn't laugh at her. Instead, he took the initiative to ask.
"Can't Shi-san recognize my face?"
"Yeah."
"That's too much!"
The city at night was still bustling. After walking for a while, Toru Oikawa really understood that Shi-si was not only face-blind, but she was also terrible at directions.
He was standing in the same place, trying to identify the road signs. When he turned around, he saw Shi-si pulling a passing student and calling his name. Toru Oikawa was so scared that he quickly pulled her over and apologized to the innocent passerby.
"I say, it seems like you really don't recognize people."
"Yeah."
"Then how did you recognize Huang Se?"
"Smell."
— — This answer was a little ambiguous.
Toru Oikawa lowered his eyes and looked at Shi-si. Because he was afraid that Shi-si would get lost again, he was holding her forearm.
In fact, he had been concerned about Huang Se for a long time.
But it wasn't very appropriate for him to ask directly.
His mind was filled with the email addresses of Ryota Hwang Se and Shi-si. With more than four digits, they definitely weren't ordinary friends. Just by looking at them, he could tell that they had known each other for a long time. Not to mention, Shi-si, who didn't interact much with others, was actually able to communicate with him without any problem.
Jealousy bubbled in his heart. Moreover, when they met at the food street, he saw the two of them holding hands.
He lowered his head and looked at Shi-si's white fingertips that peeked out from under her sleeves. His heart itched.
"Hey, Shi-san, how do you go to school if you don't recognize the way?"
"Early."
"How early?"
"Four o 'clock."
"Huh????"
As a high school student who went to school at 8: 30 a.m., waking up at four o 'clock was a nightmare. But when he looked at Shi-si's expressionless face, he didn't think that she was lying.
His mind silently saluted her poor sense of direction, but on the other hand, he felt that she was too pitiful.
But then he suddenly realized that if she was a monster, perhaps her daily routine was different from that of normal humans?
With his thoughts returning to the present, Toru Oikawa finally realized that he was holding the tentacled Shi-san's wrist as they walked on a deserted road in the middle of the night to send her home.
He didn't reveal his thoughts on his face, but he was actually thinking about this problem the entire time.
Even though it was a good opportunity for them to get to know each other better, they didn't talk much after this. Plus, Shi-si didn't like to talk to begin with, so they didn't say a single word to each other as they walked in silence.
He wondered if Ryota Hwang Se knew what Shi-si was, or if he knew that Shi-si wasn't human. He also wondered if he should ask clearly, and if he should ask clearly, and if he should give himself to her.
Although the words "give yourself to her" were already enough … it was filled with the desire to retort.
To put it simply, Seiji was still jealous.
When he led Shi-si to her house, he realized that it wasn't an ordinary single-family home, but rather an apartment in a house.
Tetsuya was a bit surprised; after all, most families wouldn't choose this type of apartment.
Toru Oikawa didn't say anything else, and Shi-si didn't have any such intentions. When they opened the door and stood in front of the door, Toru Oikawa casually asked.
"Shi-san lives alone?"
"Yeah."
"What about your parents?"
"No."
Seiji didn't ask any more questions. It was his first time seeing a girl's house, so he was a bit hesitant. But when he glanced inside, he discovered that it was terrifyingly monotonous.
There weren't any warm or cute decorations that he imagined. It was so simple that there was only the most common furniture.
He lowered his head to look at Shi-si again and suddenly said.
"How about I pick you up in the morning?"
“?”
Her doubtful expression was very obvious, and Toru Oikawa didn't know why he suddenly wanted to say this sentence.
Maybe it was because he was still arrogant in high school, or maybe it was because he was curious about Shi-si, but in short, he just wanted to get to know her more.
What's more, waking up at four in the morning and spending several hours looking for directions was really too pitiful.
Originally, he was wondering if she would refuse, and he was also thinking about how to explain it in his mind. However, she just raised her small face and stared at him without saying yes or no.
"Well, you see, Shi-san, it's been almost two months and you still don't know your way around. It must be very troublesome to wake up so early every day. It only takes me half an hour to pick you up, and you can have a good sleep yourself. You just have to wait for me to come and find you. Isn't this very convenient? Besides, we both sit at the same table, so you don't have to worry about our relationship, right?"
In fact, his original intention was to make Shi-si remember his face. For more than ten years, Toru Oikawa had never lost in this kind of thing. It was the first time he met a girl that he cared about, and it couldn't be said that he was disappointed, but it was indeed a blow.
In addition, after discovering that Shi-si didn't have no contact with anyone, his desire to have a good relationship with her became even more urgent.
Originally, he wanted to say more, but then he saw Shi-si standing at the door nodding.
Toru Oikawa was somewhat relieved, and even a smile climbed into his eyes. Under the dim light, the tall youth stood in front of the petite girl. He looked at his own shadow that completely enveloped the other party, and Shi-si was completely unaware.
He didn't know why, but there was a little bit of malice in his heart, but compared to malice, it was more like an unknown emotion that was satisfied.
"Then it's settled, I'll call you tomorrow morning. You don't have to go early, okay?"
Before leaving, Toru Oikawa thought for a long time. Clearly, his foot had already stepped out, but he turned back around. Shi-si, who was just about to close the door, looked up at him with a puzzled expression.
"Although it's been a long time, I've always wanted to ask."
After saying this, Toru Oikawa reached out his hand to the side of Shi-si's face, and pressed against the white and clean ear in front of him, he pinched the wet tentacle hidden behind it.
"Shi-san … What exactly is it?"
When he purposely pinched the sucker that sucked his finger, he clearly saw ShiSi's panicked expression, as well as ShiSi's reflexive cry of surprise after being pinched.
